Without a great deal of early pace evident Sweet Kisses may lead the way over Smart Legend. SWEET KISSES (2) had been building to another win before breaking through last time out, over 1400m at Townsville. Should be poised just off the speed and rates to go on with the job. ARCTIC BEAR (7) turned in an eye-catching run last time when kept coming beaten 1L at this track over shorter. He's won twice over this longer sprint and can threaten with average luck. ARMOUR FORCE (5) just missed here first-up over 950m when he worked home well. Had been racing over middle distances, so it was a good effort. The longer sprint helps now, and he can't be ruled out. VALENKI (1) won this grade here over a short course first-up, and the step up to 1250m is a positive. In the mix with the extra fitness. STADIUM OF LIGHT (4) will come into his own over longer journeys, but fresh he should be hitting the lone. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sweet Kisses to win.
