Genuine tempo with Flying Vision and Kiavela pressing for the lead. ARCHIE MAXIMUS (2) returned in good order with a solid second at Grafton and will have come on with that run now in the locker. Also expecting the longer distance to work in his favour. This race has been weakened by scratchings and it leaves him as a big chance to put a win on the board. ON THE THRONE (9) made an encouraging return after three months when he kept chasing for third at this venue. Should be better for that outing and he goes up 200m in distance. Has winning claims. CROKER (3) is lightly raced with some upside. Readied with a trial and draws well so keep safe. KIAVELA (13) will be better with a couple of runs under the belt. This looks a little easier so can show more. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Archie Maximus.
