Could only manage to finish fourth last time out over 1600m at Turffontein Inside following a minor placing at Vaal when fresh from a spell the run prior. Big chance to break through. POMPEII SHIELD (5) is a five-start maiden who looks close to breaking the duck after finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs, most recently when 5 lengths away in second over 1600m at Vaal. Should be poised just off the lead. Best figures should see him run well. MASTER BUDDY (7) is yet to break through in three runs. Finished fifth at his last appearance over 1450m at Vaal on January 27. Expected to feature in the finish this time. MILLENNIUM WARRIOR (4) made progress last time out, finishing 3.5 lengths from the winner in second over 1600m at Vaal. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out.
