A solid tempo on the cards with Cavascot taking charge. MEKA VIBE (2) finished a length from the winner last start after being in the firing line on the bend over 1400m at this track, an improvement on his first-up fifth at Wangaratta the run before. With that run under 1400m under the belt he should shake the life out of this from the good draw. THE MAILER (6) returned from a spell 2.5 weeks ago when he was beaten 5.5 lengths into ninth over 1200m at Caulfield. Will enjoy a drop in class here, so he can play a big role. SPARKLES (9) was beaten 2.75 lengths into fifth over 1200m at this track last time, in a race that contained a number of rivals here. Just needs a good run from the gate to be in the finish again. BONNIE BOUQUET (10) was never a factor on debut, but had market respect there off a couple of nice jumpouts and probably needs another chance jumping straight to 1400m. SUGGESTED PLAY: Meka Vibe on top.
