Mahoe should find the front with Darren Michie and Helluvah Return on his heels. SIR BRUCE (1) is normally running on in his races, and his racing pattern is probably why he has found it hard to win another race. A heavy track would be in his favour, and he is overdue for his next win. Stick with him. COSMIC PURSUIT (3) capped off some good form with a hard-fought win by a head at Matamata 10 days ago, which was his first time over 2000m, and he has the scope to go right on with the job. EVER CHARM (8) kept on fighting gamely on a testing track at Matamata 3 weeks ago when finishing sixth. He will be at his peak fitness now, and his next win is not far away. SMALL TOWN GIRL (7) settled back off a wide draw at Te Aroha last time out over 1600m, and ran on strongly late that day. The extra 500m is the key here. Each way.
