Slick pace with Faultless finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. ALOTTAGO (1) is peaking at the right time after finishing fifth as the favourite in a strong field at Wingatui 3 weeks ago. He doesn't want the track here to be too wet, but from a superior draw this time, he can take it out. Follow your money. ORIGIN OF LOVE (6) has been racing well in good fields all season, being placed at group level, and finishing a narrowly beaten third at Ellerslie a fortnight ago. Craig Grylls picking up the ride is a good lead, and they will be hard to hold out. SIERRA LEONE (9) beat a promising type when finally breaking through for her first win at Otaki 4 weeks ago over 1200m. She is strong enough now to cope with a mile, and now that the penny has dropped, she can go right on with the job. CLARA BOW (8) failed to stay in the Oaks at Ellerslie over 2400m 4 weeks ago. She is still a maiden, but is nicely placed back over this trip, and she can make amends. WAIMEA BAY (7) drops back from 2000m to 1600m, and she is worth another chance. Top 4 claims.
