GOING: G(4)

Ladbrokes Odds Surge Handicap 1200m

Track: GOOD 4   Clear (Max: 22)   Rail: True Entire Circuit.

Sassy Boom to take charge ahead of Immortal Star at a strong tempo. IMMORTAL STAR (1) gets the nod in the opener. She's in great form, winning two on the bounce prior to last start when trying hard over 1100m in a VOBIS race at Flemington. Beaten at $1.95 there but she was strong late and back out to 1200m in what looks a very winnable race can see her bounce straight back. SASSY BOOM (2) resumes. She's contested some stronger races than this, last seen in G2 company. Fancy 1200m is on the sharp side for her but she's certainly got the ability and a favourable racing pattern. DANCING STORM (3) comes over from Adelaide in solid form, tackling a good race at Murray Bridge last time behind Victorian mare Shadavar, who would be a huge chance here. KA YING CHEER (6) has won two on the bounce in Australia impressively. This is harder again but he has to be respected down in the weights. CHARMED RUN (5) won an easier race last time, place chance here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Immortal Star to win.
