Hot tempo expected from Sly Cascata and Boulder Jack. SUGAR AND SWEET (2) was ridden quietly then made some inroads and finished 3.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1100m at Ararat. Steps up in distance today and while yet to win second-up, he's got six minor placings from nine tries. ACHETER (5) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 1300m at Wangaratta. Generally settles back early and winds up late, but draws to settle closer if they'd like. WHISKEY AND BEER (7) finished out of the money when fresh from a spell two starts back then was beaten 2.5 lengths when seventh over 1206m at Kyneton eight days ago. Should be ready to peak now and this no tougher than the past couple. SLY CASCATA (11) boasts more recent winning form than most rivals here and while this is tougher than the grade he's been racing, his tail should be up. MISHIMA (9) finished second to Sly Cascata last start but draws significantly better than him this time around. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sugar And Sweet each way.
