Good speed from Walkinthepark, Not So Unusual and Steal My Thunder. TRAV (1) has been set a task in his last couple of starts over 3200m, and though beaten, he has not lost any friends. He is likely to be ridden in the same manner here, but he will find this company more to his liking. He will be circling then from the 1000m, and can have the last say in this. STEAL MY THUNDER (8) has been building her fitness, and she will relish stepping up from 2000m to 2500m for the first time this prep. She is down in the weights and ready to win another race. SANTA CATALINA (6) will find this easier than her last couple of starts. She will be hoping to settle a touch closer than usual from the pole position, and she is good enough to figure in the top 4 here. FREEBELLE (7) capped off some solid form with a well-deserved win at New Plymouth 2 weeks ago. The extra 500m should not be a problem, and she can repeat the dose. NOT SO UNUSUAL (10) is a lightly tried 6YO mare who was third in a very strong field here in January. She drops in weight, and can win this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Trav each way.
