Just a moderate tempo headed by Lychee Green Tea, Boom Boom Betty and Needawinna. BALGOWAN (11) gave away a start then stormed home to win over 1100m at Kilmore last time out when obviously had benefitted from the previous two runs, so looks poised to go on with things in this type of field. LYCHEE GREEN TEA (8) has been racing consistently this preparation and with the fitness of previous runs, probably gets the best chance to get back into the winner's stall. NEEDAWINNA (6) is still only relatively early in the campaign and might find the distance here more to his liking. BOOM BOOM BETTY (4) is on the back-up after a respectable fourth placing at Terang on Tuesday and can hit back here from a gun draw with Meech aboard. SUGGESTED PLAY: Balgowan each way
