Hot tempo expected from Cinque Torri and Easy Campese. A SAMURAI MIND (5) comes through two strong races and looks ideally placed third-up dropping back to the 1400m. He was well supported last start in the LR C S Hayes Memorial and this is an easier assignment. Expect him to be right there when the whips are cracking. JACK THE LAD (7) went amiss last start but had been ticking along well prior, even if the form guide does not quite show it. He gets in nicely at the weights and is a genuine chance on his best figures. PUDDING (3), one of the great stalwarts of SA racing, returns off two sharp hitouts. He reunites with his dear mate Toeroek and is sure to give his usual honest account. Don't take lightly. BAMYAN BUDDHA (1) was below his best last time but his prior form measures up strongly. The 3kg claim helps and he needs to be included. SUGGESTED PLAY: Each-way Jack The Lad.
