Pace a scorcher, headed by Bellazaine, Beadman and Hidden Motive, closely followed by Agarwood and Regal Award. SKYHOOK (2) raced with success at the elite level and ticks a few boxes on his home track first-up. Finished off last campaign with a solid fifth in the G1 Coolmore Stud over 1200m at Flemington last November. Two trials had merit and handles all conditions. HIDDEN MOTIVE (1) fast colt with excellent figures over this track and trip. Collared late first-up with the 59kg when a narrow third over 1100m in the LR Fireball Stakes at Randwick. Similar set-up again and will be even harder to catch here. BEADMAN (3) justified the heavy support with a tough first-up win over 1100m in the LR Fireball Stakes at Randwick. Tough set-up for this and will need some J Mac magic from the outside gate. WODETON (6) frustrating colt who comes back a few levels for this third-up. Got lost up the Flemington straight when eleventh over 1200m in the G1 Newmarket Handicap. Best form is on his home track and maps well. NASHVILLE JACK (8) in great order and due for a change of luck. Stays in the calculations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Skyhook each way.
