Bassett Babe should lead at a slick tempo. Good little clash between some talented fillies. POINT BARROW (2) was sent out a very warm favourite first up in the G1 Oakleigh Plate and ran okay with 50kg, getting home into fifth behind some class older sprinters. Back to her own sex and age here suits much better, she'll just need a bit of luck finding the gaps from barrier three. ALPHA SOFIE (3) was awful second up after copping a bump early at Flemington in the Inglis Sprint, dropping right out as a well-backed favourite. Excuses offered, back around a bend can see her atone given that explosive win here fresh. FUNDAMENTAL NATURE (7) was third in the Inglis Sprint and is coming along very well having won two in a row prior. She has each way claims. EXPULSION (9) tried hard behind Verdoux (in R5) last time, expecting that form to hold up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Point Barrow to win.
