GOING: G(4)

Dynamic Print Group Alexandra Stakes 1600m

Track: GOOD 4   Clear (Max: 22)   Rail: True Entire Circuit.

A small field that lacks a pacemaker. Interesting little race with a bit of a VRC Oaks rematch. GETTA GOOD FEELING (2) started favourite in that G1 but didn't stay the 2500m, her speed on display when winning over 1200m first up with a big close down the Flemington straight. She's quickly to 1600m here but has the run under the belt and probably finds the front quite easily. She'll be well fancied to turn the tables on Oaks winner STRICTLY BUSINESS (1) who was one of the stories of the year for Thomas Carberry. She went from winning a Ballarat maiden over 1300m to winning an Oaks over 2500m in under two weeks and did in dominantly in fast time. A mile here first up probably isn't her spot but she can be charging late. CLASSIC GEM (3) was fourth in said Oaks before a spell. She's trialled fairly well and can challenge. JUST KICK (7) next best from SEYCHELLES (6) who are both rough hopes. SUGGESTED PLAY: 2-1-3 trifecta.

Previous preparation first-up won by 0.5 len Ballarat 3yo F Mdn-Sw October 24 over 1400m slow track defeating Miss Deceiver carrying 57kg at $9.50. Oaks winner resuming, she could be special if she can round these up with targets to come.
