DOROTHEA (13) will be nearing her peak fitness third up from a spell, and she was brave in defeat on the poly track here last time out when tried in front, kicking clear turning for home, before being claimed late over 1600m. She drops back 200m, and with the aid of a 3kg claim, she could see it through to the end this time. VENDABELLE (7) has been racing consistently since relocating to the South Island, and she resumes from a spell that would have done her the world of good. A recent trial will ensure that she is ready to rumble fresh up. LA VOISIN (10) blasted to the lead on the poly track here last time out, and booted clear to score comfortably by over a length.
