Strong tempo expected with Upstart Lover, Knowitall Frank and Straight Blast prominent. THATS ARCHIES GIRL (6) has returned in career-best touch this prep and is desperate to break through. Has been chasing from tricky spots before charging late. Blinkers should sharpen her up and she retains the 3kg claim. This is her best chance yet and she should prove hard to beat. PERLE DE CHOCOLAT (10) led pillar-to-post when resuming at the Sunny Coast and has been okay since without striking. Drops in class and should be at her top now. DEEP TIARA (9) drove hard to score here in what has proven a red-hot form reference, producing four subsequent winners. Full of confidence now and shouldn't be bothered by the extra trip. WANTED HILLBILLY (4) is another last-start track winner. Strips fitter third-up and is in the mix. UPSTART LOVER (12) is ticking along well and knows the circuit. FIRE AND LIGHT (1) could cause a late scare fresh if they overdo it in front. SUGGESTED PLAY: Thats Archies Girl to win.

Trial was sound, but the sharp drop in trip is the query. |
