QUICK COOKIE (1) sets the standard after a much stronger 4yo+ NMW1Y at Belmont Park, where she was unwanted in betting yet charged home to finish sixth, beaten a length and a half. The drop from Saturday company to this Class B is significant, and the 1400m looks workable given her distance place record, though the top weight keeps it from being a formality. DANEA ROCK (2) is the immediate danger after running second in a 3yo+ Maiden at Junction, beaten a length, and the first-time blinkers give her another chance to convert. BLITZ (5) has been freshened since a fair Carnarvon Class 1 effort and his earlier wide third gives him a case for the multiples if the back in trip is no issue. SWEET EYES (6) also comes through Class 1 company at Carnarvon and gets weight relief, but she must turn solid efforts into something sharper to win. SUGGESTED PLAY: Quick Cookie finds her race.

Up to 1400m is the query, but this is the right race if she backs it up. |
