Solid tempo with Mr Mellon leading from Roger and Rogue Ruler. Fascinating race with the established SWIFT RULER (1) taking on a few who lightly-raced types, who couldn't have been more impressive to this point of their career. Swift Ruler made it three straight wins when resuming over 1200m at this track last start and is rightly considered the testing material. Pike would have had his pick of a few here, so it's a big plus he's on board. TREASURED LEGACY (10) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 1200m at this track, scoring by a neck. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Handy draw will assist and she is a solid top-three hope. YAMANEX (8) was prominent at the turn and finished second last time over 1200m at this track when resuming from a spell and gets a nice weight turnaround on Swift Ruler. ROCKTEX (2) scored at a big price last start, which followed a couple of good seconds, so hard to knock despite the wide gate. MR MELLON (4) won with a bit in hand on debut and can measure up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Swift Ruler to win.
