Good pressure from the outset with Test Of Love, Naval Academy and Keep Your Cool taking up the running over Piastri and Recuperato. VERDOUX (4) looks a good price here on resumption. He's a lightly raced 6yo who boasts an impressive fresh record, winning a handy race at Caulfield first up last time in before posting a strong figure at Flemington. Open race but this looks a nice race for him. KEEP YOUR COOL (1) resumes. Her best form is probably at 1400m but she did win first up at this track and trip last time in and just kept racing well thereafter. Off a decent spell but draws well and can figure. NAVAL ACADEMY (10) needs another win but is going okay, well backed last time at Flemington and holding on for third. He's the fit horse who will be up on speed and hard to catch. RECUPERATO (11) comes back in trip which could suit better now, her form around Custom over this trip a few back reads well. SPACE RIDER (2) beat Naval Academy home fresh but he typically does fly fresh and then drop off. SUGGESTED PLAY: Verdoux to win.
