Solid tempo anticipated with Asva and Sunset Park matching motors. Tricky edition of the Ansett Classic. Siding with the Archer Stakes form with BEACH PAD (9) and GRAND PIERRO (4). Beach Pad was 100-1 there but ran very well over the Flemington 2500m, fourth to Melbourne Cup hope Shockletz. Forgive the flop on heavy prior, Shane Jackson has got him to his right trip and this looks suitable. Grand Pierro ran a bottler fresh at Mildura over 1400m then has been ticking along okay since. He was solid in the Archer last time and his best is good enough. LEONCHROI (10) put in a career peak last start winning dominantly at Sandown Hillside. He was given a 10/10 by Blake Shinn that day and this is harder but he'll go close from the low gate. HURRY CURRY (8) can be an improver third up to her right trip from GO DADDY (7) who is going okay. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Beach Pad & Grand Pierro.
