Plenty of pace with Graeme John and Ikidunot up front, pressured by Powerofpersuasion and Super Rosa. HAKKINEN (2) zoomed home form last on the turn to score a big win fresh up here by half a length over 1400m a fortnight ago. This is no harder, and the step up to 1600m is the perfect next step for this progressive 5YO gelding. On top again. GRAEME JOHN (1) followed up his tough poly track win with a brave fourth on the turf here 4 weeks ago on a heavy track. He is fully fit, and with the drop back in class, he should be very competitive again, especially with the aid of a 3kg claim. SUPER ROSA (4) will be chasing a hat-trick of wins after going back to back on her home track at Ruakaka. Dropping back from 2100m to 1600m should not be an issue, and she is good enough to salute here. POWEROFPERSUASION (5) has been very honest from the Terri Rae stable, and she ran on nicely when fifth here 2 weeks ago over 1400m. This trip is her pet distance, and she has each-way claims. IKIDUNOT (6) is likely to put himself right on the pace, and is sure to give a good sight for a long way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hakkinen can repeat the dose.
