ATHENA PARTHENOS (10) is the danger after holding on by a nose here last time and she stays on 51kg, though the winning margin leaves less room for error. SHAKUIWANA (7) was beaten only half a length by Port Tauranga and has the right recent form to be a serious threat if he repeats that effort. MIYA FIGHTER (5) has put two placings together, including a 3yo+ C1 third two back, and looks more a solid place-and-value chance than the top pick.
