Eliud should lead and dictate terms. LOS SALSERO (6) has found form, and caught the eye late when finishing fifth at Ellerslie 3 weeks ago, and that form stacks up nicely for this assignment. Michael McNab replaces an apprentice, and the pair should go close to taking this out. TULSA KING (4) was given no hope of running into the money after a very passive ride early on, and that run is best ignored. He will relish getting out to a middle distance, so expect a form reversal in this. ELIUD (1) fought on gamely for third over 1600m nearly 2 weeks ago at Te Rapa, and he is another who has been crying out for more ground. He looks well placed to go one better here. PACIFIC PRINCESS (11) has come back from a spell in terrific order after finishing runner-up here a fortnight ago. She has to overcome a much tougher draw this time, but she is fitter, and her next win is not far away. POETIC JUSTICE (7) stuck to his task gamely last start at Whanganui when finishing second at long odds. Stick with him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tulsa King each way.
