Genuine pace with Great Promise taking up the running ahead of Artie's Storm and Late Arrival. CHAMPAGNE CRUSADER (1) made significant late ground last start to get up for second over 1200m at this track. Strong record with Jefferson Tsang in the irons, including a win. Sure to run well in this suitable contest. STRIDEAWAY (4) is first-up since February last year but was one of the best 2YOs of her year and has been readied for this with a couple of trials. Any market push would warrant extra respect. SO SI GOD (8) turned in an eye-catching run last time out over 1200m at this track, charging home from well back to finish half a length away in third. Generally performs well here and has registered four minor placings. GREAT PROMISE (10) has been thereabouts lately without being able to break through, the latest effort a second at Northam over 1100m. Facing a tougher assignment but should be involved in the finish. DON'T WINK (12) has a tricky draw to contend with but is generally in the mix and it would be a surprise if she's not somewhere around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Champagne Crusader to win.
