Expecting plenty of speed from Magnatear, Sovereign Hill and Skyhook from Private Eye. SKYHOOK (2) bounced off his good trials with a commanding victory over 1300m in the G2 Theo Marks Stakes at this track from the outside gate. Can progress quickly this prep and looks hard to stop again from the low draw. PRIVATE EYE (1) third up today and has finally drawn a decent barrier. Slow into stride and went back from the gate with a below-par seventh in the G2 Tramway Stakes at Randwick over the 1400m. Look for a more positive ride and has solid top three claims. ESTADIO MESTALLA (3) caught the eye first up with the 58.5kg when he warmed up late to run ninth over 1300m in the G2 Theo Marks Stakes at this track. Look for him to be savaging the line. MAGNATEAR (6) sat on the speed first up and boxed on well to run second in the G2 Theo Marks Stakes. Sure to run a big race again. SOVEREIGN HILL (10) goes to a new pain barrier out to the 1500m with race fitness on his side. Place best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Skyhook looks hard to stop in this vein of form.
