PRECIOUS MENO (8) sets the standard after successive Kochi wins, the latest a favourite's demolition job where she beat Quad Malinin by a long way. She has also won at this track and distance, so the main task is backing up that peak rather than proving the set-up. MEISHO YUZURUHA (10) is the class runner coming back from 3yo+ Open company, and while recent finishing positions read poorly, a six-length defeat at Chukyo Dirt is stronger form than most bring here. COUNTRY VICTOR (2) is the safer local yardstick after a third to Extra Note and a solid Saga fourth in 3yo+ COND grade. SHINZEN SHINE (1) lacks the same winning profile but has distance credentials and was fourth in the same Extra Note race, making him a genuine minor-money threat if he holds that level.
