WONDER AID (7) has the strongest current form, having filled second at his past two Saga runs and been well found in betting both times. He was beaten seven lengths as favourite last start, so he still has to convert opportunity into a win, but his half-length second to Mikki Parasol two back reads well for this. REGINA TEMPESTA (9) returns from a five-week freshening after midfield 3yo Maiden runs at Chukyo and Kokura over 1200m, and the rise to 1400m is the obvious test, but this looks a softer platform. MEISHO HAYASE (2) won here two starts ago as a short odds-on favourite before fading into fourth behind Beryl Sphere, so she has the right race profile if she rebounds. DATTE UMADAMONO (4) is consistent without winning and gets in with 51kg again, making her a genuine danger if her strong late work last start carries through.
