Good pace with Indian Ocean, Choisaanada and Taegan's Champ prominent. THE ULTIMATE KING (1) will go close if anywhere near best. Grade 1 placed three back. Has great form for this, especially here, and should go close. OLIVIA'S WAY (3) looks the danger. Placed in the same race behind The Ultimate King last time and wasn't far behind him. Long overdue and looks a definite winning chance. CHOISAANADA (2) improved sharply on his ninth two starts back at Vaal with success over 1600m at this track five weeks ago, getting home by a long neck after being in contention on the bend. Won only try course and distance. Got the job done last time and is a leading hope again. HOTARUBI (8) hit the frame two starts ago at Vaal but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 5 lengths over 1600m at Vaal. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
