MORPHETTVILLE PARKS   14 Mar 2026

GOING: G(4)

Sportsbet Jockey Watch Handicap 1000m

Track: GOOD 4   Clear (Max: 24)   Rail: +6m 1000m-W/Post; +3m Remainder. Sectional 608m.

Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Bristler. NEXTONIXS (2) came through a hot race first-up and went right on with it here last time, letting down strongly for a comprehensive win. She’s kept the legs ticking over with a jump-out and can add to her strong record at this track and trip. BRISTLER (7) is as tough as they come and has bounced back sharply in his last two after a hiccup at Murray Bridge. He’ll use the low draw to full advantage and give them something to chase. OVER YONDER (6) chased gamely into third behind Nextonixs last start and now meets her 2.5kg better, which could be enough to bridge the gap. MINTULEE (3) is in a similar boat, also getting weight relief and shaping as one of the pace influences who will give supporters a sight. NOT SURPRISED (9) couldn’t meet market expectations at Ballarat but should have taken improvement from that run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Nextonixs to win again.
