A solid tempo on the cards with Simply Fun taking charge. A good contest. HEROIC REBEL (3) resumed for the premier Gollan yard with a solid effort in stronger at Doomben. He has more to offer and will enjoy the step-up to the 1666m. Has a handy 2kg claim and will position forward from an insider barrier. MOSAMOUR (14) settled well back but hit the line well beaten 2.25 lengths over 1700m here last time. Placed at the track over a spring first-up and is certain to be winding up strongly. FIFTY CALIBRE (7) registered his Maiden win first win over 1600m at Sunshine Coast. Tougher assignment this time but he will present fitter and is one of the main contenders. TRUMP CARD (4) resumes for the sharp Vandyke yard. He will race over further but has been fitted with three trials and has placed 4/5 this course.
