Plenty of pace from Precious Girl, Just Awesome and Kev's Girl matching motors ahead of Canamble.
CANTIAMO (1) is back after a four-month spell. Tested twice at Group 3 level last prep, the pick of the runs a first-up sixth to the talented Point Barrow down the Flemington straight in Cup week. Cruised home to win a recent Scone trial. Class runner who looks forward enough to take care of this field. JUST AWESOME (2) led from the outset and fought on bravely to collect a Class 1 over this distance at Kembla last start. Progressive colt who only needs to hold that form to give this a shake. PRECIOUS GIRL (3) returned from a brief spell with a comfortable all-the-way win in a 900m Newcastle maiden a fortnight ago. Back better than ever and will give them something to catch. Veteran mare KEV'S GIRL (6) maintains a zest for racing with a couple of strong recent results. Six-time winner at this trip so cannot be left out of calculations. SONG FOR ROSIE (5) returned to form with the blinkers back on last time out and she is a lightweight chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Cantiamo.
