Strong tempo likely with several going forward, headed by Ayteem and Stringline. PLATINUM GODDESS (4) showed a lot of courage with a gutsy win at Otaki 3 weeks ago, and she has really come of age this prep, winning 3 of her last 5 starts. She won't find this any harder, and with the same weight to carry, she can repeat the dose. SHEAF (5) was beaten by a head when finishing runner-up to the top pick in the same race last start. She cops a tougher gate this time, but is in such good form that she will be hard to hold out again. MARVIE (13) made the most of a positive ride from a good gate when posting an overdue maiden win here nearly 3 weeks ago. She is very honest, and with 2.5kg less to carry, she can figure in the finish again. PROBOY (8) was not beaten far in a tougher field at Te Rapa 5 weeks ago, and he wouldn't mind a wet track here. He is nicely placed, and is another with each-way claims in an even field. AYTEEM (3) has been freshened since finishing out of the money in a far tougher field at Trentham 6 weeks ago. If ready, he won't be a shock winner. SUGGESTED PLAY: Proboy each way value.
