Good early pressure with Vorkuta or Simba's Pride likely to take up the running. GAYLORD (3) was well supported at the Gold Coast first-up in stronger but didn't finish it off. He has plenty up the sleeve on a better surface sharp improvement is likely. Maps well and keeps Newman's handy 2kg claim. IN NO DOUBT (5) performed above expectations last time over 1000m at Gold Coast, getting the prize by a head. That was on a heavy track but he has a comparable figure on a good track. Has a 2kg claim today and may go on with it now. VORKUTA (6) deserved his CL1 win at the Gold Coast and then didn't finish it off there over 1400m in stronger than this. Has to come back 300m for this, but he will race forward and can't be underestimated. HE'S FOR THE GIRLS (4) has raced in town his last three and is up to this at best. Maps well and keep onside. MOFEED (1) will be fitter and won't be too far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Gaylord if the betting suggests stable confidence.
