Expecting Churchillian to take up the running with Ma Te Wa and Cooper close at hand. MA TE WA (5) led all the way and was too strong in a 4-horse field at New Plymouth 7 weeks ago. He has trialled well since then at Foxton and is a gelding going places this year. On top again. KNOCK OFF (3) is another very progressive and lightly tried gelding who is resuming from a spell. He usually comes to hand quickly, and even without a trial under his belt, he will be hard to hold out fresh. CHURCHILLIAN (4) is a capable gelding on his day, and he has also been a fresh winner in the past. A good gate should ensure that he is competitive in this. OLD BILL BONE (8) has been racing in tougher fields since his eye-catching effort for third fresh up in the spring. He drops 5kg from his last run, and he is well-placed to figure in the top 3. BEDTIME STORY (1) resumes from a spell, and won a recent trial by 4 lengths 10 days ago. She can't be taken lightly fresh up. ELECTRON (2) has been out of form, but she is capable of leading this field all the way. Don't drop her yet. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ma Te Wa can win again, and Electron at value for the brave.
