Taketombo should find the front with Diga Legend and Shinzen Kaga on her heels. NIGHT SLUGGER (6) filled a minor placing when fresh from a spell two starts ago. Could not back that up last time when 4 lengths away in fifth over 2000m at Tokyo. Fitter and well-placed to turn things around. MEDITERRANEAN (4) changes rider since being well held last time in eighth over 2000m at Tokyo on February 1. Forgive that latest effort. In the mix. STELLA CROWN (7) is back after a four-month break. Finished last campaign with a couple of minor placings, the latest over 2000m at Kyoto four months ago. Sound record at this distance with two wins and six minor placings from 12 runs and shapes as one to consider. SHINZEN KAGA (1) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 3.5 lengths back in fourth over 2000m at Kokura. Will give backers a sight.
