Expect a genuine pace with plenty of speed engaged. A race with plenty of chances. BALBOA PARK (2) looks to kick off this prep the way she ended the last three months ago when she scored over 1600m at this track. A bold showing is expected. DEAR DIAMOND (4) was safely held when resuming from a spell behind Thunderstruck in the G3 Nikkan Sports Sho Shinzan Kinen at Kyoto over 1600m, beaten 5.5 lengths into ninth. Should settle handy in the run and is expected to be in the finish. REALIZE LIBERTY (9) accounted for a maiden field over 1600m at Tokyo last start when fresh from a break. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Harder task ahead this time but can measure up. EPIC QUEEN (7) is back from a spell of five months. Won on debut at the only appearance last prep, scoring in a 1400m contest at Tokyo by half a length. Up and comer who cannot be underestimated.
