Expecting Hey Bull to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. MAGNASONIC (1) drops back in grade here following a 2.9L defeat at Bunbury last start. He rises up to 1260m today and he is a winner at this trip previously. He's a fit gelding who can sit close to the speed from a good draw and a forward showing is on the cards. RUM 'N' GINGER (5) has been outclassed. This shapes as an easier assignment and it wouldn't surprise to see him much closer from the barrier draw. Can put his best foot forward. PRIVATE SAPLING (2) was unplaced on turf over 1200m at Mt Barker two back then again couldn't find the top-three on the same surface last time out, finishing seventh over 1100m at York. Worth following up back on dirt. ONLY BY THE NIGHT (3) has not appeared since he finished seventh over 1600m at Port Hedland on August 3. Looks a strong top-three prospect. HEY BULL (4) rounds out the field. SUGGESTED PLAY: Magnasonic goes on top.
