El Jaycee, Never Look Back and Metaverse can set the pace. BRADLEY (5) was a tough winner of his penultimate start, and then was not far away in a tougher field at Ellerslie 6 weeks ago. He has a better record when racing in an anti-clockwise direction, and he can bounce straight back into the winner's circle here. COULTHARD (2) has been mixing his form this prep, and was runner-up here as the favourite nearly 3 weeks ago. If he can repeat that effort, then he can go one better in this field. Follow your money. MONOLOGUE (7) charged home late and nearly looked like the winner before peaking on her run late at Otaki 3 weeks ago, finishing runner-up by less than a length. She will be hard to beat on her home track. GREENWICH (3) has raced his way into full fitness, and followed up an all the way win with a brave second by a short head at Trentham nearly 2 weeks ago. Stick with him, as he will be hard to peg back again. LOSTCAUSE (8) resumes from a spell with a quiet trial under her belt. Watch for her to be running on late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Monologue each way.
