Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Stay Frosty. NIGHT WOLF (10) made up a lot of late ground from a wide gate when finishing third at Matamata a fortnight ago. He gets a big swing in her draw this time, and he is overdue for his first win. His chances soar on a wet track. STAY FROSTY (1) was runner-up for the third time in a row when finishing half a length off the winner at Pukekohe 17 days ago. He cops another wide gate, but with any luck early on, he is up to winning a race like this. ABSOLUTELYFABULOUS (12) has finished in the money in 3 of her 4 starts this prep, including a second by just under a length at Pukekohe last start. She tends to get back, but will only need a genuine tempo to go one better here. MORNING COCOA (13) made progress through a spring campaign and resumes with a couple of trials under her belt. Each way claims from a good gate. WHATTHEMANSAW (2) has been freshened since finishing out of the money with a genuine excuse just over 7 weeks ago. His second prior was good. Stick with him on an each-way basis. SUGGESTED PLAY: Night Wolf can take him out.
