Hellberg has good gate speed and can overcome the wide alley to lead. YAKI ISHI (9) lacked a turn of foot and finished midfield last start over a similar trip to this at Werribee. Shouldered 62kgs that day which surely contributed to the sluggish effort. Gets some relief today and is ideally drawn so a rebound in form is on the cards. HELLBERG (1) continued his excellent recent form when a handy third over this trip at Gunnedah last time, maintaining his 100% top three record at seven furlongs. Freshened up and with luck from a tricky gate should be in the finish. FIRE YOUR GUNS (14) made a late bid but just missed when resuming over 1200m at Wagga recently. Best form comes at this trip so despite a bad barrier he is right in contention with Nick Heywood going back on. KING CZAR (11) took charge a fair way out and dominated last start over 1600m here. In the mix again although the wide gate makes it harder. NOIR VITESSE (8) is in career best form and is worth an each-way ticket in an even race. SUGGESTED PLAY: Yaki Ishi each-way.
