Expecting Meiner Fuga and Shonan Someday to pair off in front. KING SQUALL (5) was well held in the Kyoto Shimbun Hai won by Shohei over 2200m at Kyoto at his last appearance 11 weeks ago. Reunites with Fujioka who has a win when partnering. Expecting he will be far too good for these. MEINER FUGA (4) is a promising type who scored at his last run before a break four months ago over 1800m at Nakayama. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a spell in two starts. Looks the threat. SHONAN SOMEDAY (2) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a spell on 19 April, finishing fourth and beaten 4 lengths over 1800m at Nakayama. Makes exotics appeal. MY BALLADE (1) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fourth over 2000m at Hakodate. Won't bother the top chances but is best of the rest.
