GOING: H

bet365 Marma Cup 2050m

Track: Heavy 10   Rain (Max: 10)   Rail: True Entire Circuit.

Agreeance should lead and dictate terms. The main race of the day, which looks a highly-suited target for the grey BOGA LEGEND (1). Was nominated for a $175k race at Caulfield, but sent here in preference to again doing battle with Jimmy The Bear and Pounding. You wonder how many others in this race could have got within 1.5 lengths of Jimmy The Bear, as he did last start. SPYLARK (2) has improved at each this time in and is still relatively early in the campaign so might have even more improvement in store. GOLIOTUS (4) is much better than recent runs suggest and draws to go closer this time. HOT SUSPECT (5) did little first-up but will be better for it and is more suited up to this trip. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boga Legend to win.

Racing well recently. Last start tracked the speed and boxed on steadily 3rd of 8 at Caulfield Vgold Heath on July 12 over 2000m, slow going 1.5 len behind Jimmy The Bear carrying 57kg at $13. Before that made some head-way from midfield; 3rd of 13 at Ballarat Bm64 on June 29 over 1600m, on a slow track; 4.5 len behind Governor King with 61kg at $3.10. No Jimmy The Bear to chase here, which he'll find much more to his liking.

Recent form sound. Last start won by a long-neck at Bendigo Bm64 July 13 over 1600m in the wet defeating Tournelle with 58kg at $5. The start before that made ground from midfield; 2nd of 11 at Ballarat Bm64 on June 29 over 1600m, slow going 2.75 len behind Em Sixty with 58kg at $8.50. Sure to prove hard to beat now he's found winning form.

Most recently 8th of 12 at Caulfield 3yo Hcp on July 12 over 2000m, slow going 3.5 len behind Stop The Rock carrying 57.5kg at $14. The start before that sat behind the speed prior to fading 9th of 11 at Flemington 3yo Hcp on June 21 over 1620m, 4 len behind Taken with 56.5kg at $16. Making headway. Takes on the older horses but has some good runs to his name and should prove hard to run down.

Most recently led to the turn then faded 8th of 12 at Sandown-Lakeside F&M Bm70 on July 2 over 1600m, on a wet track; 11 len behind Sound It Out carrying 53kg at $31. The run before that tracked the speed and boxed on steadily 4th of 10 at Seymour Bm64 on June 10 over 1600m, on a slow track; 1.3 len behind Dustland Fairytale with 57kg at $31. Will find this easier than recent efforts, so improvement would not shock.
