Rotating Soul has good gate speed and likely to set a genuine tempo with the advantage of the inside draw. ANT (3) was coming off a smart Kembla Grange BM64 win to measure up strongly in the Mahogany Challenge Final at Flemington last time out, looking the winner before being nabbed by the smart Shockletz. He draws nicely here and has ticked the distance box. STOP THE ROCK (1) opted to miss the Mahogany Final having beaten Shockletz two back at Flemington over 2000m, backing that up with a tough victory here last time. Now steps to 2400m but has the right grounding to run it out well. VERONA RUPES (14) was a bit disappointing here last time when hard in the market behind Stop The Rock but and now drops 3kg to the minimum. Drawn well and can bounce back. AMERICAN WOLF (2) was sound fresh and will appreciate the rise in trip being a St Leger winner over 2800m three starts back. PROCEAN (15) hit the line well here last time and is open to plenty more improvement. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ant on top.
