GOING: H(10)

LEVIN TRUCK SERVICES HANDICAP 1600m

Track: HEAVY 10     True

Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Pacifico. PACIFICO (2) had led all the way in his 3 starts prior to a disappointing effort at Te Rapa 3 weeks ago when ridden off the pace. He is likely to go forward this time with a senior hoop back in the saddle, and it would be no surprise to see him bounce straight back into the winner's circle here. PRIDE OF ASPEN (3) broke a long win drought when making all the running to beat a small field here 18 days ago over 2200m. The drop back to a mile is a query, but she won't lack fitness and can double the dose. ALJAY (1) is a quality stayer who is building his fitness with each start back from a spell. A mile is well short of his best trip, but he is 4 weeks between runs, and he could cause an upset, especially if there is rain on the day. SWINGIT OUR WAY (7) has been patiently handled and was a brave winner in BM75 grade here last start. She likes the track and drops a kilo in weight. Stick with her. HE'S ALL FABULOUS (10) has improved a lot this prep. Don't risk him in this either. SUGGESTED PLAY: He's All Fabulous is still on the up, and could be at some each-way value here.
