BROWNED OFF (5) turned in a handy position but disappointed in the run home last start over 1512m at Port Macquarie. Hard to follow his form but this distance should see the best in him, particularly with the help of the inside gate. CASCAN (6) overcame an awkward start with a closing fifth last time out over this distance at Tamworth. Down in grade and looks tough to beat on an eight-day back-up. SET TO PROPHET (17) ran a better race at Mungindi three weeks ago, the second appearance this prep. Needs this trip now and from a nice draw is right in contention. POP QUIZ (4) last appeared in a similar race to this three runs back at Tamworth and got the prize. Ignore recent efforts - can bounce back. DODGEBALL (8) is struggling but a drop in class should see a return to form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Browned Off to win the last.
