GOING: H(9)

WOODS CONTRACTING 1300m

Track: HEAVY 9     Out 9m

Cleat should find the front with Lazio and Electric Time on his heels. LAZIO (2) was worried out of it in a 4-horse field at Hawera second up 11 days ago. He will be spot on third up, and after a 4kg claim, he will go close to taking this out. FORCE OF NATURE (7) is a very progressive gelding who has won all 4 of his races on this track. He is nicely weighted, and Michael McNab is also booked to ride, which is a strong lead. If fit, then he can take this out. CLEAT (6) failed as favourite here 3 weeks ago, but had won 2 on the bounce before that. Stick with him. DUSTY ROAD (1) was back in form here 3 weeks ago when finishing second. A wide draw may not be an issue by this race, and he can figure in the top 3 again. MARTELL (5) challenged hard when finishing third in a similar field here 3 weeks ago, and another honest effort is expected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lazio is ready to win again. On top with a light weight to carry.
