Solid tempo from Diamant, Shinhidaka Gold and Eminent Career battling for the lead in a high-pressure contest. EPIPHALAND (4) is back from a break of three-and-a-half months. Raced below par at her only appearance last prep when seventh over 1800m at Hanshin. Drawn to enjoy a nice trail just off the pace. Will give a great sight. LILY OF THE HEART (9) started at $4.90 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 6 lengths at Hakodate over 1200m. Hard to beat in this suitable race. SHINHIDAKA GOLD (8) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 3.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1200m at Hakodate after being in contention on the corner. Likely improver with strong prospects. MOTHER'S WILL (2) returned from a spell three weeks ago when she was beaten 4.5 lengths into fourth over 1800m at Fukushima. Fitter this time will prove harder to beat.
