Genuine pace with Yellow Jersey taking up the running ahead of Lotus and Confetti. SAINT BATHANS (1) has not had much go his way recently, and a return to an anti-clockwise track could help him. He is at his best when racing on the pace, and is likely to be ridden more positively this time. A 4kg claim will help, and a return to form is likely. BASSOROC (10) was tried in front for the first time at Pukekohe last month and ploughed through the mud to lead all the way to score by over a length. There is more depth to this field, but she is more than capable of measuring up again. TISSE (4) hails from the powerful Alan Sharrock stable, who usually leave this track with some major prize money. This progressive type will be peaking third up, and with Michael McNab replacing an apprentice, he won't be far away. Each way. CONFETTI (11) has each-way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Saint Bathans to run up to his best form and take this at some value.
