Strong pace from Falcon Trader and Mercian Hymn matching motors with Captain Rogers close at hand. ZADAR ROCK (2) has raced a well-bet favourite his last two winning here and at Port Headland. Maps well and keeps improving. Heagney replaces the 3kg apprentice and he can go on with the job. ACERMETRIC (3) just missed behind the above and missed a nose here prior. He also carries more weight, but maps well and Yuill replaces the 4kg apprentice. A Player. Wary of HIGH COMMISSION (8), who has switched from the top Perth barn. Came from the back to just miss over a mile at Northam first-up and arrives here on a 16-day return. Maps well and the betting will be key. FALCON TRADER (1) steps up from a mile and has been racing at Pinjarra in stronger. Tackles this distance for the first time and the inside barrier should advantage. Keep onside. MERCIAN HYMN (9) always puts in but needs to find more to be winning. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Zadar Rock.
