Genuine tempo from Puntin leading Pure Alpha. PUNTIN (6) held in high regard by the stable and looks ready to take on the 1800m for the first time. Held up on the turn and like the way he closed off when an unlucky second over 1600m at this track. Morgan retains the ride and expect to see him push forward from the draw. Goes close. THE WESTERN FRONT (12) team Hayes-trained gelding who was back in class with a dominant win over 1700m at Gawler. Capable of testing some of these with his solid rating base. Each way. VEGA MAGNIFICO (2) looks to have returned well judging by his eye catching third over 1600m at this track. Goes just as well second up and will keep improving as he steps up in trip. Don't dismiss. PURE ALPHA (7) looks the pick of the Waller runners and due for a change of luck. Can hold a position with cover and figure prominently. MISTERKIPCHOGE (10) holding form after scoring a gritty win over this trip two back. Gets a better run and stays in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Puntin to bounce back.
